Division Responsibilities & Services

The Real Estate Recording Division:

  • Provides a grantor / grantee index for searching and retrieval of recorded documents
  • Provides copies for the public as per request
  • Records and files documents of real estate, maps, the Uniform Commercial Code, marriage licenses and other similar items

Beginning July 1, 2010, House Bill 1007 took effect. Read more about the bill to learn how it affected the fees associated with documents recorded in the Clerk and Recorder's Office.
